Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is an American actor and singer. She is born in 1980 and is a Michigan native born and fostered by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). Kristen is Polish (mother's) and German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen was already an accomplished performer from a young age. In 1992, she was awarded her first role at her audition in Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell was contacted by an agent by her mother before the age of 13 and was cast as a model in newspapers and television commercials. Along with taking private lessons in acting, she launched her career in the year 2000. Bell was a character who did not have a credit on Polish Wedding (1998), an upcoming film. Bell was a member of the drama and music club of Shrine Catholic High School. The Wizard of Oz was presented by the high school and she took home the part of Dorothy. Bell attended an institution called the Tisch School of the Arts where she studied Musical Theater at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City. The year 2001 was the time Bell left university to portray the character in the role of Becky as Becky in Tom Sawyer. Also in 2001 when Bell's debut appearance was in a movie that had been credited, Pootie Tang (2002). The scene she appeared in was cut and only the credits show her. Bell was in the film with Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson, and The Crucible Broadway performance of The Crucible in 2002.
