Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria is an Romanian actor. Her debut was on the large screen in Sex Traffic by Channel 4, for which the British Academy Television Award was presented to her for Best Actress. The actress fluently speaks French, German and English. Her father, a professor of theater in one of the top Romanian theatre schools, is a theatre teacher. She was awarded the Best Female Actor Award for the Year 2000 at the Mangalia Young Actor Gala. In 2008 the European Film Promotion Board recognized her as a European Shooting Star. She was a teacher for four years in the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu in Iasi. bAnamaria Marineca is an Romanian film actress born on the 1st of April, 1978 at Iasi Romania. A performer with Romanian descendance, Anamaria Marinca made her debut in film with the British-Canadian TV film Sex Traffic for which she received the British Academy Television Award for the Best Actress. In addition to her outstanding performance in her debut film, the actress will also be famous for her role in the Romanian art film 4 Months 3 weeks and 2 Days which won her numerous awards, including winning the European Film Award for Best Actress London Film Critics. The actress was in Cristian Mugiu's Romanian film "4 luni 3 saptamani e 2 zile" (4 Months Three Weeks And Two Days) which earned her the Palme d'Or award at Cannes Film Festival 2007. The film also earned two other awards, the Cinema Prize of French National Education System (FIPRESCI Prize) and the Cinema Prize. Also, she was on The Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. She portrayed Yasim Awar in BBC's 5-episode The Last Enemy miniseries. Marinca was also a part of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. In the movie Fury (2014) the actress played Irma who was a German woman who was Emma's aunt.
